GRANVILLE, Ohio- Women's golf returned to the Denison Golf Club to complete their play in the Lynn Schweizer Invitational. After their two rounds, the Colonels improved to third place with a team score of 619 (311-308).
The host institution Denison took first place with a score of 610 while Randolph-Macon finished in second with a team mark of 615.
Janie Morgan and
Anika Rana tied for the lead within the Colonels' line-up. Each having a final score of 153, the two shared the tie for 11
th place.
Grace Walker improved from her first round, bettering her 80 in day one with a 76 in round two. Tallying ten pars and two birdies, the senior finished four over par to place her in a tie for 15
th individually.
Emily Warner bettered her first round by six strokes in day two. With a final mark of 158 (82-76), the senior made an eight seed jump up the leader board to claim a piece of the 23rd seed.
Ellie Roof finished with a completed score of 161(83-78) to land in a four-way tie for 33rd.
SATURDAY RECAP
Anika Rana paced Centre through day one, closing the round just one over par. The senior registered an impressive 15-pars, allowing her to land in a tie for fourth with a first-round mark of 74.
Janie Morgan was the next Colonel within the field's top-10. The junior followed just behind Rana with an opening round score of 75, slotting her in a tie for eighth.
Grace Walker cracked the top 30 with a round mark of 80. Finding trouble on the front nine, the senior balanced out with eight pars on the back nine to place her in a tie for 26
th.

th with a mark of 83.
The Colonels will have a two week rest until their next invitational. They'll travel to Tennessee on Sept. 16 to compete in the Joe and Lee Duncan Invitational.
