SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - Centre women's track & field traveled with a partial squad to Wittenberg, where the Colonels finished fifth at the Steemer Indoor Showcase against a field of teams from all Divisions. The meet featured another record-setting performance from Chloe Hein.

Hein began her day racing in the 60m and finished second overall with a time of 7.69. Later on in the meet, Hein raced in the 200m and finished third with a time of 24.86, with Amari Robinson taking eighth place in the same race.

In the 800m, Gabriella Ostrander posted a time of 2:21.42 to finish sixth overall. The women's 60m hurdles saw Alexandria Masden finish fifth overall after crossing the finish line in 9.44.

Moving to the jumping events, the Colonels picked up a pair of wins. In the high jump, six-time All-American Serena McNeilly cruised to victory after clearing 5-7 (1.7m). The next jumping event was the long jump and Hein, already the national leader in the event after last week's Centre Indoor Showcase, made program history again as she added to her national lead, setting yet another school record with a mark of 20-3 (6.17m). In the triple jump, Marie De Amour Manirakiza finished fifth overall with a mark of 32-9.75 (10m).

In the throwing events, Shelbi Valentine picked up four points for the Colonels as she finished fifth overall in the shot put (first among Division III competitors) with a throw of 40-6.25 (12.35m).
