SEWANEE, Tenn. - After a dual meet on Friday night, Centre Swim was back in the water at Sewanee for the yearly relays on Saturday. Both the men's and women's teams took home 3rd place finishes.

The women's "A" team grabbed the first win of the day for Centre. The quartet of Addie Savage, Georgia Crisp, Roya Sanai, and Katie Bridwell won the 200 back in a time of 1:53.80. Crisp blew everyone else away with a staggering split of 27.07 seconds. She was the only swimmer from any team to break 28 seconds in helping the Colonels get the win.

The other Centre win came in the men's 400 IM relay. The team of Jack Liau, Gavin Schoeling, Jake Holmes, and Jameson Seraphine won the race in a time of 3:41.43, more than 3 seconds ahead of any other squad.

A second place for Centre came in the women's 200 breaststroke relay as Ava Gates, Parker Reily, Tierney Maynard, and Peyton Zinner swam in a combined 2:13.74 for the runner-up spot. The men also took 2nd in the same event. Jack Liau paced the Colonels in the lead spot with a race-fastest split of 26.65 but Emmanuel rallied from behind to get the win.

Another runner-up finish came in the women's 400 IM relay. Avery Hutchison's blistering anchor leg of 59.70 seconds allowed the Colonels to pass Brenau in the final leg to grab 2nd. Her split was the only one of the race under one minute.

The Colonels next head to Campbellsville for a dual meet against the Tigers. The action starts on Tuesday night at 6:30pm.
