DANVILLE, Ky. - Centre Esports had another light week of action with just 4 games on the docket.
Here's the breakdown:
League of Legends vs Transylvania (10/7): Win 2-0
Centre League of Legends dominated Transylvania University in two short decisive games.
In game one, Centre came in with confidence and aggression. Transylvania's jungler locked in Nocturne, who was able to punish Centre's unrestrained aggression and picked up 6 kills. Even with this lead, Transylvania was unable to take the pressure of Centre's midlaner (esteramu) and adc (MetroMina). Centre communicated and set up a trap, and after successfully destroying the Nocturne, the path to victory was open.
In game two, Centre had that same aggression but also followed with an awareness of where Transylvania's jungler was. Due to this awareness, the jungler was unable to secure the same lead that he had in the first game. Centre took over the map and the entire game. After securing the Baron Nashor, Centre walked mid then secured the ace and the victory.
Rocket League vs Indiana Tech (10/7): Win 4-1 (4-2, 3-0, 2-3, 6-3)
Centre continues their undefeated streak in the NECC season. Sush (
Grant Walker) had a strong performance in game one scoring three goals with both passing plays and individual skill shots. Game 2 began slowly thanks to strong defensive play from ACKess (
Adam Kessinger). Sush once again excelled on offense with 2 goals and 5 shot attempts. Game 3 looked likely to go to overtime, but a nice kickoff goal from Sush and ACKess sent Centre to match point. Duroxy (
Eddie Mora) found Centre's 2 goals in game 5, but Indy Tech showed some real fight and found 2 of their own in the final 18 seconds on game 4 to force overtime. Centre answered back strong in game 5 with 6 goals thanks to solid teamplay, impactful demos, and quick thinking.

League of Legends vs Mississippi State (10/12)
Centre started game one respecting MSU's more experienced mid laner and jungler, but quickly found holes in their game that were easy to exploit. With superior communication and teamfighting ability, Centre was able to win early team fights for the scuttle and dragon objectives. The true star of this first game was Lumberjack (
JT Taylor), as an unkillable monster on Illaoi, he turned teamfights into bloody tentacle baths.
After a short break, Centre showed MSU that they were going for the kill. In the draft portion of the game, Centre intentionally left open characters that MSU was comfortable on. The bait couldn't have been better, and the Colonels revealed the trap with a counterpick in every lane. Unlike game one with close explosive fights, game two was complete dominance, with every laner getting a solo kill.
Valorant vs Purdue (10/12)
Centre started on their own map pick Lotus and immediately won the first four rounds in a row. With strong teamplay and consistent C site takes, Centre kept that momentum to end the first half with a dominant 10–2 lead, with Kill3rB3an (
Sam Stephenson) getting an ace in the eighth round. Going into the second half, the Colonels lost the first two rounds but quickly gained their momentum back, taking three rounds back-to-back to secure the first map 13–4. Francois Vinkles (
Huston Mountjoy) and Kill3rB3an led the charge, dropping 21 and 17 kills respectively.
The second map was Ascent, where Centre made an early statement by winning six rounds back-to-back. Purdue managed to take a round, but Klippy (
Vedant Bhagat) answered with a 4K clutch, giving Centre the momentum to close the first half with an 11–1 lead. In the second half, the Colonels had a strong pistol round allowing them to secure their dominant 13–1 victory. Drag (
Briggs Cook) and Klippy gave strong performances in round 2, dropping 17 and 16 kills respectively.
