LA CROSSE, Wis. - Friday at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships was an eventful one for the Centre women as all three of their participating athletes locked up All-America honors.
The first event of the day was the shot put and sophomore
Zoey Shahid-Scott made the most of her NCAA debut, outperforming her seed to take 16th place overall with a throw of 42.7 (12.98m) to earn All-America Second Team honors.
Next up was the high jump and indoor national champion
Serena McNeilly nearly made it a clean sweep as she posted a clear of 5-9.25 (1.76m) to earn a national runner-up finish and her record-breaking 12th All-America nod in her career.
Finally, the 100m had its preliminary heats to end the session and long jump national champion
Chloe Hein posted a time of 11.75 to qualify fifth overall for tomorrow's finals, guaranteeing her no worse than First Team All-America honors.
In addition to the 100m finals, Saturday will also see Hein competing alongside McNeilly in the triple jump to wrap up the meet.
