Centre College Athletics

Nick Ascue joined the Centre baseball coaching staff in the summer of 2018 after spending two seasons at Covenant College in Georgia, where he oversaw the development of catchers, in addition to myriad other assistant coaching duties.

In his first season on the staff, Ascue helped the Colonels set a program record for wins in a season.

Prior to Centre, Ascue also spent time in the summer of 2018 coaching the Watertown Rapids of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League in New York State.

As a student-athlete, Ascue competed for the Averett University Cougars in Danville, Va., as a catcher and utility fielder. He was twice named USA South Academic All-Conference, and graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Coaching Education.

Ascue also recently completed a Master's from Xavier University in Coaching Education and Athlete Development.
