Ernest Mosheleketi

Goabaone Ernest Mosheleketi is an award-winning collegiate Track & Field coach with a distinguished record of developing national champions, All-Americans, conference champions, record holders, and championship-caliber programs at both the NCAA Division III and NAIA levels. Widely respected for his expertise in the long jump, triple jump, high jump, and combined events, Mosheleketi has established himself as one of the nation's premier jumps coaches through his ability to maximize athlete performance and cultivate a championship culture.

His coaching excellence has been recognized with numerous honors, including being named USTFCCCA National Assistant Coach of the Year and earning USTFCCCA Regional Assistant Coach of the Year honors four times. Throughout his career, he has consistently developed athletes who excel on the conference, regional, and national stages.

Elite Athlete Development

Mosheleketi coached Chloe Hein to one of the most accomplished careers in NCAA Division III history. Hein captured NCAA Indoor and Outdoor National Championships while setting the NCAA Division III Indoor Long Jump Record (6.46m), the NCAA Indoor Championship Record, and the NCAA Outdoor Championship Record with a leap of 6.43m.

He also coached Serena McNeilly to national prominence, guiding her to an NCAA National Championship in the high jump, a personal best of 1.80m, an NCAA Indoor Championship Record of 1.79m, a national title in the pentathlon, and a school-record 12.79m triple jump.

Mosheleketi developed Cree Ross into one of the nation's elite jumpers, earning three NCAA All-American honors while recording a school-record 7.54m long jump, a personal best of 15.22m in the triple jump, and a third-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

His athlete development success also includes coaching Jasmine Clauch to four NCAA All-American honors and an NCAA National Runner-Up finish, demonstrating his ability to consistently prepare athletes for success on the biggest stages.

In the combined events, Mosheleketi guided Nick Withlow to a 4th-place finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the Heptathlon and an 8th-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the Decathlon, further showcasing his versatility as a coach and his expertise in developing complete athletes.

Program Impact

At Centre College, Mosheleketi has helped lead the program to its first conference championship, contributed to more than ten conference team championships, and played a key role in the institution's first NCAA Division III National Championship podium finish. His athletes have earned national recognition while setting school, conference, and NCAA records, helping establish Centre College as a nationally respected program.

His coaching approach emphasizes the development of the complete student-athlete, focusing not only on athletic achievement but also on leadership, academic excellence, character, and personal growth.

His mission is to create an environment where athletes can maximize their potential, compete for championships, and develop skills that will serve them long after their athletic careers have ended.
