Centre College Athletics

Austin Mercer joined the Centre football staff as the wide receivers coach in the spring of 2016. Mercer spent the previous football season in the same position at Millikin College.

A native of Jeffersonville, Ohio, Mercer played both wide receiver and safety at NCAA Division III powerhouse Mount Union earning two varsity letters.  Mercer was a member of Mount Union’s 2012 National Championship team.  While Mercer was at Mount Union the Raiders went 71-4 and won four conference championships.
 
Mercer earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Mount Union.
