CheyAnn Knudsen

CheyAnn Knudsen is the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Centre College, joining the Colonels’ athletic staff in 2023. In a short time at Centre, Knudsen has already made a significant impact, leading the program to success both on and off the course.

A native of Milton, Wisconsin, Knudsen was a standout collegiate golfer at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she became one of the most decorated players in program history. She earned All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) First Team honors each season, was named WIAC Player of the Year, and set school records for the lowest 18-hole and 72-hole scores, including her record 72-hole mark set at the NCAA Championships.

After graduating, Knudsen returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach for two seasons, where she helped guide the Warhawks to multiple conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances.

Since taking over the Centre College women’s golf program, Knudsen has quickly established a winning culture. In 2024, her first season as head coach, she guided the Colonels to their fourth consecutive Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championship and the team’s first title under her leadership. This achievement was marked by the largest margin of victory in SAA women’s golf history. The following year, 2025, the Colonels finished as runners-up, missing the championship by just one stroke.

In addition to her team's achievements, Knudsen’s personal accomplishments include being named SAA Coach of the Year in 2024. She also coached Grace Walker ’25, who was named SAA Women of the Year and NCAA Region Women of the Year in 2025.
