Hay is entering his second season on the defensive staff for theColonels. As linebackers coach in 2010, Hay instructed threeAll-SCAC Linebackers, each of whom played a large part in helpingthe Centre defense lead the league in fewest points per game. As a player Hay, a 2009 Centre graduate from Cincinnati,Ohio, was an inside linebacker who started every gamesince stepping onto campus his freshman year. Aformer First Team All-American, Hay had over 400 careertackles while at Centre and currently holds the single game tacklerecord of 25 that he set while playing against Austin College in2007. He was named to the All-SCAC team three years in arow; and in 2008, Hay was voted team captain aswell as the team's Most Valuable DefensivePlayer. Hay graduated from Centre with a degree in Financial Economics.Hay is looking forward to the transition of coaching the defensiveline. |
