The Centre men's lacrosse team picked up its seventh straight win while turning in a dominant performance in a 17-2 victory over Hendrix on Saturday in Conway, Ark.

Zack Connors (Louisville, Ky.) led the way offensively with four goals and two assists while Peter Murphy (Louisville, Ky.) and Connor Stubbs (Decatur, Ga.) each scored three times.

The outcome of the game was never in doubt as the Colonels outscored Hendrix 10-1 in the first half and at one point scored 11 straight goals while holding the Warriors scoreless for more than 36 minutes. After Hendrix closed out the third quarter with a goal to make the score 13-2, Centre scored all four fourth quarter goals to arrive at the final result.

Also scoring for Centre were Wesley Hardman (Narragansett, R.I.) and Seth Gray (Louisville, Ky.) with two goals each while Scott Hughes (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Patrick Evans (Louisville, Ky.) and (Eric Gilligan (Cranston, R.I.).

Centre took 41 shots to 24 for Hendrix. Bryce McCoy (Hudson, Ohio) made seven saves for the Colonels while Clayton Brown (Louisville, Ky.) made three.

The Colonels held a 53-27 advantage in ground balls, won 12 faceoffs and scored on 7 of 12 man up opportunities.

With the victory, Centre improves to 9-2 on the year and 5-1 in Southern Athletic Association play. Hendrix drops to 5-8 overall and 3-3 in the conference. The Colonels wrap up regular season play Sunday at Rhodes.
