The Colonels opened the scoring 11 minutes into the game with a goal by freshman Megan Flocken (Dexter, Mich.), assisted by senior Courtney Kuiper (Louisville, Ky.). Flocken would quickly tally another goal three minutes later, this time assisted by sophomore Erin Mays (Louisville, Ky.), last week's SAA Offensive Player of the Week. Three minutes after Centre's second goal of the game, the Bobcats scored to make it 2-1, and the score remained at 2-1 for the rest of the half.
In the second half the offense picked up, with Megan Flocken picking up an unassisted goal at the 43-minute mark. It only took 65 seconds for the Colonels to score their next goal as senior Chelsea Klein (Louisville, Ky.) scored with an assist by Courtney Kuiper. Senior Alexis Hebert (Chapel Hill, N.C.) scored Centre's third goal of the half at the 56-minute mark with an assist by junior Elizabeth Jessee (Alexandria, Va.), her first assist of the season. Flocken scored her fourth and final goal of the game less than three minutes later to put the final margin at 6-2.
