HARRISONBURG, Va. – Centre field hockey had its six-game winning streak snapped Sunday in a neutral-site meeting with 11th-ranked Christopher Newport, falling by a 3-0 score on the campus of Eastern Mennonite.
The Colonels fall to 6-3 overall while the Captains improve to 8-1.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The Captains struck first in the 11
thminute, as Rachael Allshouse redirected a pass from Courtney Fiest and found the back of the goal.
- Allshouse went toward the right post again in the 33rd minute to give CNU a 2-0 halftime lead.
- Fiest added an insurance goal in the 57
thminute to cap the scoring.

- Centre had its chances against the national-ranked Captains, finishing with 19 shots (seven on goal) and 18 corners.
