Box Score LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Centre men's basketball easily handled NCCAA-member Boyce Saturday afternoon, winning by a wide 93-51 margin on the Bulldogs' campus.
The Colonels improve to 8-0 overall while sending the host Bulldogs to 0-11 for the season. Centre's record matches the 2014-15 team for the best start in program history.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The upset-minded visitors kept things close early on, trailing just 23-22 near the eight-minute mark.
- Centre closed the frame on a tear, however, with a late
Dawson Crump jumper capping a 24-6 run to make it 47-28 at the break.
- It was much of the same in the second half, and following a layup from
Jakob Spitzer near the midway point the Colonels' lead had ballooned up to 31 at 70-39.
- A 3-pointer from rookie Caleb Synder with 3:38 on the clock gave Centre its biggest lead of theÂ
Afternoon, 91-49.

- Centre shot above 56% overall as a team, and were led in scoring by
Tucker Sine's 18 points.
- A total of 14 Colonels got on the board, as Snyder and junior
Matt Morette netted their first points of the campaign. Centre's bench outscored Boyce's 54-17.
