SEWANEE, Tenn. – Centre women's basketball suffered a 57-50 defeat Saturday afternoon at Sewanee, competing in the Southern Athletic Association opener inside Juhan Gymnasium.

- Momentum shifted again to start the final period, with the Tigers going on a 6-0 stretch before Marcum sank her fourth 3-pointer of the day to make it 40-40.
- The Tigers grabbed a 47-45 advantage after a Kinsley Logan layup with under three minutes remaining, but Wilson was fouled on a 3-pointer and sank all three to swing favor back to Centre.
