SEWANEE, Tenn. – Centre men's basketball saw its eight-game winning streak come to a close Saturday, falling 77-67 in the regular season finale at Sewanee.

The Colonels drop to 21-4 overall and 12-2 in the Southern Athletic Association, although they already locked up the top seed and right to host next week's conference tournament.

The Tigers improve to 18-6 (8-6 SAA) and even the season series after losing by an 80-71 margin in Danville, Ky., back on Dec. 1.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Sewanee leapt out to a 14-6 lead roughly seven minutes into the game, but a 3-pointer from Dawson Crump helped stem the momentum.

- The Tigers finished on late 7-3 run to regain the lead, 34-31, by the halftime break.
- Sewanee quickly put Centre on its heels after the halftime break, grabbing a game-high 14-point lead near the 15-minute mark.
- The Colonels climbed back to within one just minutes later, after a pair of free throws from Dustin Gerald made it 54-53.
- The Tigers never relinquished the lead, however, as Cam Caldwell and Jordan Warlick each scored 11 in the second half to help secure the win.
