JACKSON, Miss. – Centre women's basketball fell by a 54-35 score Saturday evening against Oglethorpe, bowing out of the Southern Athletic Association Tournament in the semifinals inside the Hanger Dome at Millsaps.
The Colonels were bottled up offensively, finishing with season lows in field goal percentage (.186), field goals (8) and 3-pointers (2). They finish the year 13-13 overall while the two-seed Stormy Petrels move onto the SAA Championship with a 21-5 record.

Kat Wilson scored the game's first bucket on a layup, but Centre connected on just four of its 15 field goal tries in the first quarter.
- The Petrels would race out to a 16-10 lead after one period, going 7-for-11 from the floor as a team.
- Both sides struggled from the floor in the second quarter, combining for just three baskets and 10 points as Oglethorpe took a 22-14 lead into the half.
- The Petrels took a 14-point lead early in the third quarter, but Wilson's seven points in the period helped keep Centre within arm's reach.
- Oglethorpe's Savannah LeGate scored seven points herself in the fourth quarter, however, keeping the Petrels ahead by double figures the rest of the way.
