ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association wrapped up the winter season by releasing its postseason awards for the 2018-19 women's basketball season and three players from Centre earned All-SAA recognition.
Junior
Kat Wilson was named to the All-SAA Second Team for the second year in a row. Wilson has led the Colonels in scoring in both of her full seasons at Centre and this year she became one of the league's top jump shooters, ranking third in the nation in three-point percentage late into her junior campaign. Wilson earned SAA Player of the Week honors after scoring 36 points across a pair of impressive Centre road wins at Rhodes and Hendrix.
Senior
Abigail Stewart and sophomore
Abigail Wehby were All-SAA Honorable Mention selections. 2018-19 marked the third all-conference honor for Stewart, whose tough post defense and shot-blocking ability helped the Colonels lead the conference in scoring defense this season. In her final game as a Colonel, Stewart joined the Centre 500-rebound club.
Wehby earned her first All-SAA selection in her first year as a starting point guard. A steady player all season long, Wehby played with maturity beyond her experience level, finishing her sophomore campaign with the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the conference.
