HILTON HEAD, S.C. -
The Centre women's lacrosse team improved to 7-2 on the year on Monday morning as they defeated the Allegheny Gators by a score of 17-7 in their first of two games in Spring Break tournament action.

HIGHLIGHTS
- After capping off a dramatic comeback victory for the Colonels against Capital with an overtime goal, Amelia Tomasulo picked up where she left off, opening the scoring against Allegheny with a shorthanded goal less than two minutes into the contest.
- With just over five minutes gone by in the half and leading 3-2, the Colonels created some distance with their first big run of the game, scoring four consecutive goals over the next 11 minutes. A pair of goals by Hannah Hardy were sandwiched by goals from Tomasulo and McKenna Hulette.
- The Gators scored four of the next six goals, but Bella Tacogue scored just before halftime to give Centre an 11-6 lead, and the Colonels carried that momentum into the second half.
- The Colonels dominated the second half, outscoring the Gators 6-1 in the final period with Abby Whitford scoring two of Centre's six goals.

NEXT UP
