Fifteen score as Colonels celebrate Senior Day with big 20-2 win over MSJ

DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre women's lacrosse capped the regular season and celebrated Senior Day in high-scoring, well-balanced fashion Sunday, routing visiting Mt. St. Joseph 20-2 at South Turf Field.

Every non-goalie on the roster scored in the victory, including the first collegiate goals in the careers of Sarah Ali and Ellie Jury, and the first of the season for Katy Haering and Bre Olson.

Centre closed the regular season with a 12-3 overall record, sending the Lions to 3-7.

Prior to the game, Centre celebrated the careers of Olson, Mary Allen and Hannah Hardy.

HIGHLIGHTS

- The Colonels had a running clock before the end of the first have, with another defender – Haering – getting in on the offensive action with her first score of the season.
- Olson's goal in the early stages of the second half marked her first since her freshman season, and she assisted Ali for the rookie's first collegiate goal.
