NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. – Centre women's tennis won its fourth match in a row Sunday morning, handing Berry a 7-2 defeat in Southern Athletic Association play inside the Top Seed Tennis Club.
The Colonels, ranked ninth in the Atlantic South region, advance to 6-6 overall and 4-1 in the SAA. The Vikings entered ranked 17th in the region, falling to 8-4 (0-4 SAA) with the loss.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre's regionally-ranked doubles duo of
Neha Rao and
Hannah Doherty won every game of an 8-0 win over Kathryn Barker and Allison Ivey at No. 1 doubles.

Abigail Kent and
Caroline Stallings won their second match of the weekend, 8-4, against Berry's Sarah Myers and Sydney Stone at No. 2.

Emily Zelichenok and
Katharine Sherman aided the doubles sweep with an 8-1 victory over Karleigh Dills and Faith Van Rengen at No. 3.
- Sherman claimed No. 1 singles over Ivey, 6-1, 6-4, and Rao took care of Barker at No. 2, 6-3, 6-3. The pair each entered the match as regionally-ranked singles players.

Caroline Stallings picked up her fourth winning decision in a row in a 6-4, 6-1 triumph against Stone at No. 4.
- Zelichenok contributed a point with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Dills at No. 6 singles, marking her fourth straight victory and sixth of the last seven matches. For her career, Zelichenok has 68 singles wins to rank in the top 10 in program history.
