DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre senior
Kat Wilson reached the 1,000-point plateau Saturday against Sewanee, helping the Colonels celebrate Senior Day with a big 70-52 victory inside Alumni Gymnasium.
Centre finishes the regular season 15-10 overall and 9-5 in the Southern Athletic Association, having already locked up a three seed in the upcoming SAA Tournament. The Colonels send the Tigers home at 10-15 overall and 5-9 in-conference, avenging a loss at Sewanee back in December.

Mikayla Fee – who recorded 11 points and a team-high eight rebounds – were honored with a ceremony following the win.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Three-point buckets from Wilson,
Kylee Murray and
Madison Marcum helped the Colonels take an early 14-6 advantage.
- Sewanee closed the opening quarter strong, however, and cut the deficit to 14-13 after the first period.
- Centre raced back out to a 21-13 lead after five quick points from Murray in the second quarter.
- After knocking down six 3-pointers in the opening half, the Colonels carried a 35-27 lead into the break. Centre also scored 12 second chance points on seven offensive boards throughout the first two quarters.
- Centre used a 10-4 stretch to widen its lead early in the third period, 45-31, and would head to the last frame up 54-38.
- Wilson reached the 1,000-point milestone late in the fourth, putting the finishing touches on a dominant Centre victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre had one of its best games of the season from 3-point range, finishing 10 of 20 as five Colonels sank a three. Wilson and Marcum totaled three apiece.
- The Colonels shot 56% overall across the second and third quarters, helping put the game out of Sewanee's reach.
- Led by Fee's eight boards, the Colonels enjoyed a 34-23 advantage on the glass. Centre had 10 offensive rebounds and a 15-0 edge in second chance points.
- Defensively, Centre forced 16 Tiger turnovers, leading to 21 points.
Ellen Hicks finished with three steals to go with her nine points and six rebounds.
