ATLANTA - Earlier this afternoon the Southern Athletic Association released its weekly awards for week 8 of the 2021 football season and Centre quarterback
Trentin Dupper was named Offensive Player of the Week for games played through Oct. 24.
Dupper had the best statistical game of his career on Saturday in Centre's win over Millsaps. He completed 13 of 23 passes for a season high 253 yards - nearly 20 yards per completion - and three touchdowns while also leading the Colonels with a career high 144 yards on the ground and two more scores. All told, Dupper accounted for 397 total yards and five touchdowns as Centre cruised to a 66-34 victory.
It is the second time Dupper has won the SAA Offensive Player of the Week this season, having also won the award after week 1. Centre football will return to action on Oct. 30 for Senior Day against Rhodes.
