DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre men's basketball fell by a 75-64 score against Franklin Tuesday evening in Alumni Gymnasium.

Dustin Gerald set a career high for the second time in five days, totaling 23 points, but the Colonels (2-4) couldn't overcome a hot-shooting second half from the visiting Grizzlies (2-1).
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre hit its first four field goals and led 8-2 before two minutes had elapsed.
- The Grizzlies clamped down defensively, however, holding the Colonels to a 1-for-11 clip while tying the game at 12-12.
- Franklin carried a 34-29 advantage into the halftime break, doubling up Centre on the glass with a 25-12 rebounding edge during the opening period.
- A 5-0 run near the 12-minute mark of the second half proved to be the longest scoring stretch the Colonels could manage in the second half, as the Grizzlies denied a comeback attempt with timely shooting and a 6-for-11 effort from distance.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Franklin shot above 50% (28-55) for the contest, going 14-for-24 (58%) from the floor in the second half. On the other end, Centre connected on 48% (19-40) from inside the arc, but was just 3 of 13 (23%) from deep.
- Gerald has scored 20 or more in three straight contests. He finished 9 of 13 from the floor, hitting two 3-pointers.

Chez Moore had a career-best 13 points and seven boards.
- The Grizzlies out-rebounded the Colonels 39-23.
