MEQUON, Wis. – Centre field hockey fell by a 1-0 score against Rhodes in the Southern Athletic Association Tournament Championships, being played inside Tomasini Stadium on the campus of Concordia Wisconsin.
The Colonels fall to 14-3 overall with the loss – their first in nine matches – while the Lynx finish their season 9-6 overall.

Meredith Wickenheiser and
Shelby Young were named to the SAA All-Tournament Team following the match.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre's
Sienna Joseph and Rhodes' Riley Marzola each came up with multiple saves in the first quarter to negate any scoring chances, and neither side was able to take a shot throughout the second period.
- Wickenheiser and
Maggie Will each had a shot on goal in the third, but Marzola was able to record a pair of stops.
- The Colonels picked up the attack late in the fourth and drew four penalty corners in the closing minutes, but atypically managed only one shot from those set pieces.

Megan Coomes nearly ended the contest early in overtime, sending a shot just wide of the cage.
- Rhodes eventually won on a backhanded goal from Grace Utz.
