DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Centre women's basketball dropped a 64-37 contest against Carroll (Wis.) Tuesday in their final outing at the Daytona Beach Shootout.
The Colonels drop to 4-7 on the season while the Pioneers improve to 8-3.
Centre led 9-6 after the first quarter, limiting Carroll to a mere 3-for-17 shooting mark from the floor (0-9 from long range). The Pioneers responded with a 12-2 run, however, and never relinquished their lead the remainder of the game.
The Pioneers held the Colonels to a season-lows in field goals (12) and field goal percentage (.250).
Payton Herold led Centre with nine points, while
Presley Chirico had a team-high 11 rebounds.

Centre is off until Dec. 30 when it travels to take on Asbury at 6 p.m. in Wilmore, Ky.
