DANVILLE, Ky. – Will Hubbs scored six goals to lead Centre men's lacrosse past Berry, 15-4, Saturday afternoon at Farris Stadium.
Centre improves to 5-1 overall and opens the Southern Athletic Association slate 1-0, sending the Vikings to 4-1 and 1-1 in-conference.
The Colonels are now 8-7 all-time against the Vikings, with Saturday's game the most lopsided in the two teams' series history.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Hubbs opened the scoring roughly four minutes into the game, and

- Despite Berry winning all four faceoffs in the opening period, Centre's defense kept the Vikings off the board by forcing six turnovers and limiting them to five shots.
- Momentum favored the Colonels again in the second quarter, helped in part by
Dylan Croft's perfect 6-for-6 effort at faceoff and by
Wills McCutcheon's five saves.
- Centre scored four goals on its first four shots of the period, quickly taking a 7-0 lead.

- Berry made little progress in the third quarter, continuing to come up with empty possessions as Centre's defense swarmed. The Vikings took seven shots and had five turnovers.
