Box Score CONWAY, Ark. – Centre men's basketball dropped a 72-66 decision Saturday at Hendrix inside Grove Coliseum.
The Colonels (3-4) led by 10 at the halftime break, but the host Warriors (5-4) stormed back to earn a crucial victory with Southern Athletic Association Tournament implications.
Dawson Crump led Centre with 17 points to go with five rebounds, five assists and three steals.
RJ Smith totaled 11 points and eight boards.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Five different Colonels connected on 3-pointers in the opening half as nine individuals contributing scoring.
- On the other end of the court, Centre held Hendrix to just 8 of 30 (27%) overall and 3 of 15 (20%) from long range to grab a 37-27 halftime lead.

Gage Wells hit a 3-pointer to open the second half and give the Colonels their largest lead of the evening.
- The Warriors warmed up offensively, however, using a 10-0 run to get right back into the contest.
- A bucket from
Dustin Gerald near the 12-minute mark pushed Centre's lead back to double digits, 54-44.
- Hendrix again had an answer, and eventually tied the game at 64-64 with under three minutes to play.
- A pair of late 3-pointers helped the Warriors escape with the victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre held a 22-8 advantage in points in the paint and out-rebounded Hendrix 41-40. Smith led the Colonels with eight board, followed by Gerald's seven.

Drew Wilson recorded four steals for Centre.
- Hendrix's Craig Collier II led all scorers with 20 points off the bench.
