MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Centre softball closed its season Sunday at No. 15 Berry, taking losses of 10-2 and 1-0.
The Colonels fall to 3-21 overall and 3-12 in SAA play, while the Vikings improve to 23-6 and 11-4 in-conference.
GAME ONE: Berry 10, Centre 2
- Berry used a two-out rally to score a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning.
- The Colonels got one back in the third, as
Sawyer Lecius singled and eventually scored on a wild pitch.
- In the bottom of the frame, however, the Vikings got RBIs from Riley and Anna Jackson to push their lead to 4-1.

Riley McCue began the fourth with a single up the middle and would score an unearned run later in the inning, but Berry brought home five in the bottom of the frame to all but put the game away.
GAME TWO: Berry 1, Centre 0

Lucy Baseheart and
Andrea Searcy combined to pitch a solid six innings in Sunday's finale, scattering six hits while stranding 10 runners.
- Berry's Madison Hollis matched their efforts, though, tossing all seven innings for the home side in a complete-game shutout.
- A solo homerun from Brooke Whittemore in the fifth proved to be the only run of the game.
