DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre women's lacrosse snapped its two-game skid with a resounding 19-3 victory Saturday against Birmingham-Southern at South Campus Field.
Centre improved to 7-3 overall and 4-1 in the Southern Athletic Association with the victory, moving the visiting Panthers to 3-7 overall and 2-3 in-conference.
Mary Katherine Hardy stuffed the stat sheet in the win, recording four goals, three assists, 11 draw controls, five ground balls and three caused turnovers.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre put together a near-perfect opening half in all facets of the game, putting seven goals on the board before surrendering a single shot.

McKenna Hulette scored the first goal of the game on a helper from Hardy, and tallies from
Sloan Reding and
Madeleine Longmeyer soon after quickly made it 3-0.

Bella Tacogue and Longmeyer scored just 12 seconds apart later in the half to help Centre lead 5-0 10 minutes into the contest.

Ella Treinen and
Grace Aug got in on the scoring fun, and a goal from
Lily Gahm as the clock expired on the first half made it 15-0 and capped a dominant 30 minutes.
- Centre hit the brakes throughout the second half, coasting to a massive conference victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre's defense was stellar throughout the game, holding BSC to just 11-for-28 on clear attempts while forcing 30 turnovers.
Clare Heaney led the team with four caused turnovers, with Hardy, Gahm,
Hannah Rodell and
Katy Haering each finishing with multiple CTOs.
- Hardy's 11 draw controls helped the Colonels finish with a 19-4 advantage in the stat. Hardy, Heaney and Haering each co-led Centre with five ground balls.
- Hardy matched her season high with seven points. Gahm, Tacogue and Reding followed with five points each.

Lola Duff totaled three saves in just under 40 scoreless minutes in the cage.
Gracey Falk spelled her for the final 20+ minutes.
