DANVILLE, Ky. – Centre women's tennis squad picked up their second straight victory against visiting Hendrix, winning by a 9-0 score on the Colonels' home courts.
The Colonels (6-4) celebrated the career of senior
Caroline Stallings before the match, and the Maryland native went on to contribute a pair of points in the rout over the Warriors (1-12).
HIGHLIGHTS
- Stallings and
Caroline Lancaster make quick work at No. 2 doubles, defeating Sarah Morris and Lauren Berry, 8-0.
- There was more drama at No. 1 doubles, where
Maddy Trinh and
Hannah Doherty gutted out an 8-7(12) victory over Greer Ayers and Eleanor Burks.
- Centre's lone senior headlined singles action, as well, not dropping a game during a 6-0, 6-0 win against Ayers on court two. After her 4-0 weekend against Hendrix, Stallings sits 13th in program history in total wins.

Ella Rueff claimed No. 1 singles against Burks, 6-2, 6-0, for her fourth win of the season.
- Trinh won her first collegiate singles match at No. 3, defeating Morris, 6-0, 6-2.

Grace Headley closed the lineup with a 6-1, 6-1 win against Berry at No. 4 for her first individual victory of the spring.
