Box Score 2 CONWAY, Ark. – The Centre volleyball team concluded its regular season with a pair of games against the Hendrix Warriors. Much like Centre's last match against no. 9 Berry, the Colonels played numerous close sets, but could not get over the hump in any of them, losing twice in straight sets.
GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- The first set was a back and forth affair, with neither team able to create distance from the other. The Warriors took their biggest lead at 23-19, but Centre fired back with four straight points, including a big block by
Eleanor Davis. With the score tied at 23-23, Hendrix called timeout and righted the ship, scoring the final two points to take the set.
- Centre grabbed the early lead in the second set, but Hendrix took control with a 7-1 run. The Warriors held a 22-15 lead before a 5-0 run by Centre as
Katie Hall had a kill and two blocks in the run. The Colonels pulled to within 23-21, but Hendrix came through with the final two kills to take a 25-21 win.
- In the third set, Hendrix scored seven of the first eight points and never looked back, winning by a score of 25-15.

- Davis led the Colonels with seven kills in game 1, with Hall,
Savanna Roper and
Brooke Palmer each adding six in a balanced effort for the Colonels.

Kylie Cochran and
Meredith Phillips combined for 27 assists in game 1, with Cochran posting a game high 16.
- Reigning SAA Defensive Player of the Week
Madi Barron finished with a game high 20 digs.
- The Colonels finished with more kills and digs than the Warriors in game 1, but Hendrix held a 7-0 advantage in aces and an 11-8 edge in blocks.
