DANVILLE, Ky. – Senior
Nathan Wilcox scored twice Saturday night, the second goal coming in the final minutes in a 2-1 victory over Oberlin to close the 32nd Annual Bob Allen Nissan Classic at Andrew P. Amend Field.
The Colonels close the weekend 3-1-1 overall, sending the Yeomen back to Ohio with a 2-2-1 record.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Oberlin struck first, getting on the board in the 18th minute on a transition goal from Alex Caceres.
- The Colonels totaled six shots throughout the first half, but went into the intermission still trailing by a goal.
- It didn't take long for Centre to equalize out of the break, as Wilcox headed home a cross from
Dylan Barth to level the score at 1-1.
- The Centre attack, which was held scoreless Friday night, seemed to gain some life from the goal.
Ryan Roussel and
Nafiz Budeiri were among a group of Colonels that knocked on the door as the match reached the home stretch.
- In the end, it was Wilcox who hit the back of the net in the 88th minute, again off a cross from Barth.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre finished with 19 shots to Oberlin's eight, including an 8-3 edge in shots on goal. The home side also held a 10-6 advantage in corner kicks.

Haydon Korfhage recorded two saves in goal for the Colonels.
- Wilcox finished with his sixth career multi-goal match.
