LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Centre men's soccer claimed its first victory of the fall Friday evening, dropping Adrian, 5-0, to open the JR Hoe Invitational at Spalding University.
The Colonels improve to 1-0-1 overall behind a four-point outing from senior
Dylan Barth, who contributed a goal and two assists. The Bulldogs fall to 0-2.
HIGHLIGHTS
- After a somewhat frustrating scoreless draw Wednesday against Berea, the Colonels wasted little time finding the back of the net Friday.
Nafiz Budeiri scored in the 12th minute off an assist from Barth.
- Not much time passed before Centre doubled the lead on Barth's finish from a feed from
Jack Shields.
- The Colonels earned a penalty kick in the 37th minute, which
Michael Vogt converted to make it 3-0 at the half.
- Barth assisted
Nathan Wilcox on a transition goal to open the scoring in the second.

Joe Green capped the scoring with his second career goal later in the period off the assist from
Clayton Stanbery.

- Centre handily out-shot Adrian, 24-5, including a 17-3 advantage in shots on goal.
