DANVILLE, Ky. – After the Centre women's tennis team (7-8) fell yesterday to Sewanee, the Colonels looked to bounce back on Sunday in their fifth contest since Saturday, March 19. The Gold and White closed out the spring break vacation hosting the Wittenberg Tigers on Sunday morning, closing their second of the four-game stretch at home with a 8-1 win.

The Colonels were able to garner momentum in their doubles matches, taking two of the three points in the first portion of the contest. Caroline Lancaster and Hannah Doherty teamed up in the second slot of the lineup for the Gold and White, earning a similar 8-1 victory to give Centre an advantage heading into singles. The final doubles series to conclude was with Lainey Hill and Ella Rueff in the singles matches, fighting tooth and nail throughout the match. Falling behind early, the duo was able to stay the pace but lost in a tight 8-7 final score.
