DANVILLE, Ky. – After erasing a two-goal deficit on Friday, the Centre men's soccer team (0-3-1) were back in action on Sunday for the second day of the 33rd Annual Bob Allen Nissan Classic, this time taking on the No. 17-ranked Kenyon Owls (4-0). Despite some incredible defense in response to the Owls' offensive pressure, the Colonels fell in the match on a 1-0 final score.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Centre was able to be the aggressor first,
Nick Petrie getting a look at the net for the game's first shot just before the end of the second minute.
- Kenyon found an opening in Centre's defense about two-thirds of the way through the first half,
Jacob Camacho saving two back-to-back shots by the Owls only seven seconds apart.
- The Owls' would find a spot in the back of the net in the 58th minute of the contest, opening the second half with the lead.

Sota Ippongi would get credited the Colonels' lone shot in the second half, the ball going out-of-range from the top-right side in the 84th minute.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Camacho's eight saves marks a new career high for the junior in a single game.
- Kenyon's 24 shots are the most in a single game against the Colonels so far this season.
- The contest against Kenyon on Sunday morning marked the second time this year that the Colonels have taken on a ranked opponent in their non-conference schedule.
