Fond du Lac, Wis. – The Colonel's field hockey squad goes undefeated in opening Southern Athletic Association (SAA) confence weekend. Centre shutout Marian Sunday, conquering the Sabres by a score of 4 – 0.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Getting on the board first, Centre's
Peyton Gahm landed two consecutive goals in the opening quarter.
- Following suit,
Ellie Dunham scored late in the first half, placing her goal in the back left corner, setting the first half score to Centre three, Marian zero.
- Coming out of halftime,
Claire Martin assisted in the team's scoring efforts, landing another goal for the Gold & White.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Colonels landed four of their 17 shots on frame, while the Sabres, attempting 14, completed zero.
- In the cage,
Carlie McKenry and
Kate Helton split time. Helton, collecting a career high eight saves in the second half, continued McKenry's perfect first half, resulting in a 4 – 0 shutout over Marian.
- Fronting the Gold & White, Gahm obtained a perfect shooting percentage, completing both of her two shots attempted.
