ATLANTA – The Colonels traveled to Georgia to face Southern Athletic Association's (SAA) Oglethorpe University. After a fourth quarter surge, Centre remains undefeated in the SAA and moves to 10-5 overall.

Bailey Rucker opened the game's scoring with consecutive baskets, going coast-to-coast just before adding a made jumper in the next possession.
- Oglethorpe's tight man-to-man defense forced Centre to slow down their offense, keeping most of their baskets from underneath. The first three-pointer of the game came from
Taylor Garrett nearly six minutes in. On the next possession,
Madison Tremblay hit an additional basket from behind the arc, stretching Centre's lead to 16-8.
- Entering the second period, the score sat at Centre 23, Oglethorpe 15. In the first couple of minutes, the two teams traded baskets before Oglethorpe's full-court pressure began to wear on the Colonels. The Stormy Petrels forced six turnovers allowing an 8-2 score run that compelled a time-out from Centre. Out of the break, Oglethorpe didn't stutter, going on yet another score run, this time 7-2. Closing the first half, the Stormy Petrels took the lead and the score sat at 38-32.
- Out of half, Oglethorpe would score first but Centre would quickly answer. The two teams would continue to trade baskets until Centre found an offensive rhythm three minutes in. The Colonels went on an 8-0 score run to bring them within one basket of the Stormy Petrels.
- Closing the third quarter, Rucker bucketed a free-throw to tie the game before the Stormy Petrels connected a free-throw with a lay-up to put them three points ahead of the Colonels. In the final second,
Anna Thomas hit a buzzer beater long ball to tie the score at 52 a piece entering the final period.
-Two minutes in,
Natalie Duggins attached a free-throw with her made jumper to give Centre their first lead since the second quarter. The Colonels would continue with a 9-2 run to extend their lead to 63-56 with four minutes remaining.
- In the final minutes, both teams found themselves in foul trouble putting most of the play at the charity line. After a technical from the Stormy Petrels,
Payton Herold bucketed a free-throw to put the Colonels seven points ahead. A final made free throw from Herold cemented the final score at Centre 71, Oglethorpe 61.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Duggins preformed a double-double after putting up 19 points and taking 14 rebounds. The junior finished 9-9 at the line and 5-9 from the field.
- Rucker also finished in the double digits, accumulating 16 points. She added six rebounds and two assists.
- In the first half alone, Centre out-rebounded Oglethorpe 20-12. By games end, Centre took 41 from the glass compared to the opposing's 24. From their 15 offensive rebounds, the Colonels turned 19 second chance points.
- Centre shot 45 percent from the field compared to the Stormy Petrel's 40 percent.
- At the line, after going 20-24, Centre accumulated an 83-shot percentage.
