ATLANTA - After a two shutout week,
Jacob Camacho of Centre men's soccer has earned this week's Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Defensive Athlete of the Week for games played through Oct. 8.
Camacho had two clean sheets in the nominating period. The senior had a season-high mark of six saves in a 0-0 draw with Rhodes. He picked up a win and collected six saves in a 1-0 win over Hendrix on Friday.
It is the first Athlete of the Week honor of Camacho's career and the first for the Gold & White men's soccer team this season.
The Colonels are back in action on Friday at Birmingham-Southern. Kickoff from Alabama is set for 8:30 p.m. ET.
