SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Centre women's soccer team ended up in a penalty kick shootout in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament semifinal where they tied with Rhodes who advanced on PKs.
The Colonel record sits at 12-2-5 overall at the end of their SAA Tournament run.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- It was a true up-and-down match for both teams. The Lynx held a 5-4 shots advantage in the first half before Centre tallied six shots to Rhodes' two in the second frame.

EJ Bryant tallied the only shot on goal for the Colonels. Her attempt came in the 21st minute. Neither team was able to find the back of the net on any shots in regulation.
- Both defenses held strong and forced two overtimes. Centre led in shots 3-1 in the first overtime and both teams tallied one shot each in the second extra period.

Annabel Justice took the final shot of the second overtime. She made her attempt in the 102nd minute but it was blocked by the Lynx.
- It came down to penalty kicks to decide the contest. Both squads made the first two PKs but the Colonels could not connect on the third and fourth attempts. Rhodes made four out of their five attempts and moved on in the tournament.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Centre led in several statistical categories. The Colonels were on top in shots 14-9, corner kicks 11-4, and saves 5-1.

Alexis Kronenthal took a match-high four shots.
Annabel Justice added three to the Gold & White effort while
Cara Francke and
Riley Givens were the other two Colonels to notch mutiple shots with two each.

Grace Dutcher was in the goal for all 110 minutes of the contest. She had five saves in what is tallied as a tie.

Centre, who entered the match ranked no. 6 in the NCAA Division III Region VI rankings, will learn if they pick up an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament on the NCAA Selection Show which airs Monday, Nov. 6 at 1:30 PM ET on NCAA.com.
