CONWAY, Ark. – The Centre football team kept up their winning ways as they improved to 5-4 on the year and 5-2 in conference play with a 47-29 road victory over the Hendrix Warriors.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS

- Hendrix scored on a deep ball on their first drive of the second period and threatened to score again as they approached the Centre red zone, but

- With 94 seconds to go until halftime, the Centre offense got the ball just shy of midfield. Gohmann picked up a first down on the ground and another on a short pass to

Christian Billiter on a slant and the senior did the rest as he got to the end zone to make it 15-14.
- The ensuing kickoff saw the Warriors fumble the ball and give it back to the Colonels with seven seconds left in the half, giving Centre time for one more play. Gohmann aired it out and Busson survived a huge hit to maintain possession in the end zone, putting Centre up 21-15 at halftime following two touchdowns in a little over ten seconds.
- Centre got the ball to start the second half and marched right down the field, including a 28-yard blast from Martin. Gohmann stared at 2nd & 18 following a sack, but he again connected with his high school teammate Busson, who caught the ball at the Hendrix 5 and dragged tacklers into the end zone for a 28-15 Centre lead.
- Following a
Cam Tegge field goal, the Colonels got a big turnover halfway through the third as Sapone intercepted his second pass of the day and gave Centre great field position, which led to another field goal from Tegge and a 34-15 lead.
- The Centre defense picked up another huge stop on fourth down on the next Hendrix drive as
Nick Grant forced the Hendrix receiver out of bounds a yard shy of the short, producing another field for Centre entering the fourth quarter. Gohmann found
