GAME HIGHLIGHTS

- In the opening set, both teams used early runs to grab the advantage. Transylvania struck first, going up 8-3 in the early going. Centre rallied to tie the score at 10-10 and finally took the lead at 18-16 after a 4-0 run. The Colonels never looked back after taking the lead as they held Transylvania at bay and Emily Goddin put home the clinching kill on a 25-22 win.
- The second set was the longest of the contest as the Colonels got off the hot start with a 9-2 opening burst. The Pioneers fought off a handful of set points, forcing the set into extra points and eventually winning by a score of 29-27.
- Transylvania opened the third set in similar fashion as they did the first, taking the early edge before the Colonels battled back. The lead changed hands multiple times in the late stages. An ace by Goddin and a kill from Emily Gardner put the Colonels on top 22-20, but Transy rallied to get another close win by a score of 25-23.
