MEMPHIS, Tenn.- Women's basketball continued their conference play on the road, traveling south for their next contest. Trailing early to the Lynx, the Colonels' fourth-quarter rally fell short as the final read 59-52 in Rhodes' favor.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Both teams struggled offensively in the opening quarter, neither squad scoring more than two points until the four-minute mark. The quarter remained close until Rhodes caught traction in the final possessions.
Anna Thomas claimed a late three, but the Lynx answered in similar fashion, closing the first period at 9-5, Rhodes favoring.

Bailey Rucker initiated the second quarter from behind the arc, but the Lynx answered with a pair from the paint. Rhodes continued to lead throughout the second quarter, matching every Centre bucket with at least two of their own. Hot shooting from Erin Nipp opened a late 8-2 run for the Colonels but a buzzer-beating three from Rhodes set the score at 25-19 entering the second half.
- Out of the break, the Colonels swiftly made it a two-point game with quick baskets from
Natalie Duggins and
Makya Grinter. Just after, Centre fell silent for nearly four minutes allowing the Lynx to return their hold eight. Grinter broke the silence at the line, followed with a long ball from
Anna Thomas but Rhodes would once again extended their hold from the paint. Out-shooting Centre from the floor, the Lynx possessed their first double-digit lead (41-31) entering the final quarter.
- The Lynx created scoring opportunities early in the frame, but the Colonels would tighten their defense and make their largest offensive push yet. Rookie
Lindsay Jessie's jumper was the catalyst for an 11-0 scoring stretch that featured notable baskets from
Emma Perna, Rucker, and
Lilly Reid. With the game now within one possession, Rhodes was forced to burn a timeout. Out of the break, the Lynx began icing the game at the line, resulting in a final score of 59-52, Rhodes favoring.

- Rucker was the only Colonel in double-figured points with 16.
- Duggins led Centre off the glass with nine rebounds.
- The Gold & White dominated in both steals and points from turnovers. The Colonels turned 19 points from turnovers off their 13 steals. Rhodes collected five steals.
- Centre shot 50 percent from long range after going 6-12 in three-pointers.
