DEMOREST, Ga. – Centre men's soccer earned the squad's first win of October with a 2-0 blanking of Piedmont University.
The Colonels improved to 8-2-2 overall after the weekend match. The Lions fell to 5-4-2 with the loss.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Just two seconds past the halfway point of the opening frame, Centre tallied the first goal of the match.
AJ Daniels dished a ball to his left to
Eumir Rodriguez. The junior sent a long shot into the back right of the net.
- The Colonels struck again with a little over 10 minutes left in regulation.
Dominic Do circled around a defender scored a goal, that went past a row of confused Piedmont players, and moved the lead to 2-0.

Eumir Rodriguez's goal was his first of the season and in his collegiate career. It came on his first ever shot on goal as a Centre Colonel.

Dominic Do also scored his first collegiate goal in the match. That score was also off his first shot on goal as a collegiate athlete.

AJ Daniels' assist. It was also the second of his career.

Grayson Parish earned his third shutout of the season as the Colonel keeper. The freshman had six saves over 90 minutes of action.
- The team's 11 shots on goal tied for the most in a match this season. Centre outshot the Lions 17-16 overall and 11-6 on goal.
- The Colonels held possession for 51 percent of the match.
- Sunday marked the fourth shutout for the Gold & White so far this 2024 season.
