DANVILLE, Ky. - For the second-straight year the Centre women's soccer squad earned a program-best number of honorees on the CSC Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
A total of five Colonels were honored this year, besting the four who picked up the honor last season.
Women's Soccer was represented by senior
Isabella Marcum (midfielder), senior
EJ Bryant (defender), sophomore
Mary Martin Hampton (forward), senior
Grace Dutcher (goalkeeper), and senior
Lindsay Carr (defender).
Dutcher advanced to the Academic All-America ballot. That list will be released on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a minimum 3.5 grade-point average. Nominees must also compete in 90 percent of the institution's contests or must start in at least 66 percent of the contests. Only a select group of student-athletes, chosen by CSC committees, advance from Academic All-District submission status to the Academic All-America ballot.
