DANVILLE, Ky. - The Centre men's tennis team took on a squad receiving votes in the NAIA tennis poll in Campbellsville University and finished with a 7-2 setback.

The Colonels moved to 1-1 with the loss while the Tigers also sit at an even .500 at 2-2.

The Bush brothers picked up the first Centre win of the match as Ty Bush and Bo Bush earned an 8-7 win in the No. 1 spot over Nicolas Andrade and Nahuel Hernando. In No. 2 doubles, Jett Anderson and Jasper Gazzo won five games in an 8-5 loss. The No. 3 doubles slot was competitive with Ben Rueff and Ashton Whitt falling in an 8-7 contest with Nathan Boulard and Mario Sanchez.

Ty Bush earned the lone singles win for the Gold & White in a No. 4 singles battle with Boulard that required a tiebreaker (6-1, 6-7, 10-6). The No. 6 solo action also needed a tiebreaker as Gazzo fell in a heartbreaker to Sanchez 4-6, 7-6, 5-10.
