DANVILLE, Ky. – The Centre baseball team wrapped up the first of two Spring Break home series as they played the third game against the Concordia-Chicago Cougars. The game needed extra innings to reach the finish as the Colonels won on a walk-off error in ten innings.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS

Harrison Cowdrey escaped a jam in the top of the third by forcing a 6-4-3 double play with runners on the corners to get out of the inning.
- The Centre offense rewarded their starting pitcher with a crooked number in their half of the inning.
Jamie Laframboise,
Conner Jackson and
Josh Cunningham led off with consecutive singles, and then
Ben Prather drove in a pair with a base hit up the middle. The Colonels added another run on a sac fly by
Ayden Lohr to take a 3-0 lead.
- Concordia got on the board in the fourth with a solo home run, but the Colonels got the run back in the sixth as
Aaron Lopez hit a triple that bounced over the right fielder's head, eventually scoring on a shot down the line by Laframboise.
- In the seventh, the Cougars tied the score on a walk, three hits and a balk. Both offenses cooled after that and the game went into extra innings.
- After
David Kinsbrunner shut down the Cougars in the top of the tenth, the Colonels got something going in the bottom of the inning.
Evan Weyler lined a base hit up the middle, and a single by
Michael Lynch put runners at the corners. An attempted pickoff throw on Lynch went into the outfield, allowing Weyler to score the winning run.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Laframboise paced the Centre offense with three hits, the RBI double in the sixth and a stolen base.
- Kinsbrunner earned the victory after working 1.2 scoreless innings out of the pen, including getting out of a bases loaded jam in the ninth.
- Today's win was the 77th by the Centre baseball class of 2024, the most wins by any senior class in program history.

The Colonels will hit the road on Tuesday for an in-state matchup against Asbury. Centre defeated Asbury 9-4 on Feb. 20.
