Game 1: Centre 9, Sewanee 4
- The host Tigers struck first as a leadoff hit by pitch allowed Sewanee to manufacture the game's first run without recording a hit.
-
Ayden Lohr led off the Centre half of the second with a base hit, advanced on a wild pitch and eventually scored on a shot down the right field line by
Conner Jackson to tie the game at 1-1.
- In the top of the third,
Ben Prather got a run going with a leadoff double.
Evan Weyler lifted a base hit to center field to put the Colonels on top 2-1. The Colonels tacked on another run after a base hit up the middle from

Chase Austin scored Lynch and capped off the rally that gave the Colonels a 4-1 edge after three.
- Sewanee got a run back in the fourth after a solo homer, but Centre responded in a big way their next time at bat as Lohr led off with an opposite field single and stole second. After advancing to third, the freshman scored following an RBI single from Jackson.
Karson Thompson and
Josh Cunningham followed with singles to load the bases and Prather walked to drive in another run. One wild pitch later, the Colonels had taken a 7-2 lead as Prather raced to the plate.
-
Luc Morgan pitched his way out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the fifth and Centre added to the lead again in the sixth after an RBI double down the line by Jackson allowed Austin to score from second.
- Another solo homer from Sewanee cut the lead back to five. Again the Colonels got the run back in their next trip to the plate as Cunningham and Prather led off with consecutive hits, with the speedy Centre leadoff hitter eventually scoring on a sacrifice fly from Lynch to make it 9-3.
- The final threat for the Tigers came in the seventh as they loaded the bases again with one out, but
Zach Heavern came on in relief of Morgan and limited Sewanee to one run on a sac fly and then pitched a scoreless final two innings to secure the victory.
Game 2: Centre 5, Sewanee 2
- The Colonels were quick to get on the board as consecutive doubles from Prather and Weyler and a base hit by Lynch gave Centre a 2-0 lead from the jump. The Tigers answered with two runs of their own in the bottom of the first to produce a stalemate.
- In the third, Centre got the first two hitters on base after a leadoff walk to Prather and a base hit by Weyler. Lynch then delivered his team-high fifth home run of the season to put the Colonels on top 5-2.
