DANVILLE, Ky. - The Centre baseball team earned victory no. 26 of the year as they defeated the Berea Mountaineers 6-1 in a game that was rescheduled from last week due to weather.

Josh Livengood got the start for the Colonels and pitched his way out of jams in each of the first two innings without allowing a runner to cross the plate.
- In the third, Centre got on the board first as
Karson Thompson led off with a base hit and scored following a couple of Berea errors.

Evan Weyler led off the bottom of the fourth for the Colonels with a double over the right fielder's head, eventually scoring on an RBI groundout by
Jamie Laframboise to give Centre a 2-0 lead.
- Things calmed down over the next few innings until the top of the seventh, when the Mountaineers loaded the bases with nobody out.
David Kinsbrunner came on in relief and got out of the predicament with the lead intact at 2-1.
- Laframboise led of the Centre half of the seventh by reaching on an error. He advanced on a wild pitch and stole third, which allowed him to later score on a sacrifice bunt by
Ethan Carter. The Colonels tacked on another run later in the inning as a shot up the middle by
Aaron Lopez allowed Thompson to score.
- Centre used aggressive baserunning to score two runs in the eighth. After working a leadoff walk,
Ben Prather stole second and third, then scored on an infield hit by Laframboise. The Centre third baseman then stole second, and on his attempted steal of third, the throw sailed into left field, allowing him to score the final run of the game.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Livengood earned his first win of the season with his best outing of the year, allowing one hit in five innings while striking out eight.
- Laframboise and Lopez paced the Colonels with a pair of RBIs each.
- Kinsbrunner picked up a nine-out save with three no-hit innings.
