LOUISVILLE, Ky. – On Thursday, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) released its rosters for the 2024 DIII All-American teams. Making his debut appearance upon the Honorable Mention list is Centre's leading goal scorer, David Caldwell.

In his third year with the Colonels, Caldwell was honored as the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Offensive Player of the Year, returning the title to Centre for the fourth season in a row. In the league, Caldwell ranked fifth for his averages in goals per game (2.56), points per game (3.94), and assists per game (1.38). In a regular-season win over SAA's Birmingham-Southern, the attacker recorded a career high of six goals. In his junior campaign, the Colonel amassed a total of 41 goals, 22 assists, 63 points, two game winning goals, four man-up goals, 34 ground balls, and three caused turnovers. In his three years with Centre thus far, Caldwell has been honored with an All-SAA Honorable Mention (2022)nod, the SAA Offensive Player of the Year title (2024), and an All-SAA First Team roster spot (2024).

In the 2024 season, Centre men's lacrosse claimed a share of the SAA Regular Season title. Two weeks later, the defending SAA Champions eliminated the Tigers 10-9 in the conference championship tournament, keeping the SAA Conference Tournament trophy in Danville for the second year in a row. Advancing on to the NCAA Tournament, Centre men's lacrosse ultimately closed their season after falling to Pfeiffer by a score of 13-12. The Colonels finished 2024 with a 14-4 overall record, 5-1 in the league.
